Modern architect designed 4,000 sq.ft. (400 sq.metres) villa.
Five  double bedrooms all with bathrooms en suite, plus extra guest bathroom. Extremely spacious air conditioned living room about 40 x 30 ft. (10 x 12 metres) with raised marble floored dining area. Large and very comprehensively equipped kitchen with barbecue adjacent. 10 metre heated private pool. Walled garden with fountain and dining pergola

Downstairs there is the newly built  5th bedroom with extra bathroom

The villa lies in an elevated position in a quiet cul-de-sac at the foot of the hills above Vale Formoso (which means "beautiful valley" in Portuguese) on the outskirts of Almancil in the central Algarve. It is eight miles from Faro airport (15 minutes by taxi) and four miles (10 minutes by car) from the beaches at Quinta do Lago and Vale do Lobo. It is also within easy reach of the lovely old Moorish market town of Loulé and the still unspoilt scenery in the hills further inland

From the terrace around the living room there is a wonderful view across Almancil down to Quinta do Lago, Vale do Lobo and the sea on the horizon four miles away. This view from the roof terrace is even more spectacular and from there extends all the way from Faro in the east, past Villamoura and Albufeira, as far as Armacao de Pera in the west. You can watch the frequent firework displays at Vilamoura in the evenings whilst sipping your after-dinner Amarguinha by the living room window

1 mile to Almancil
- 3 miles to Loule
- 8 miles to Faro airport
- 4 miles to beach

GARDEN:
The quiet and secluded walled garden at the rear of the villa is small but spectacular thanks to the profusion of bougainvilleas covering its walls and the many other specimen tropical plants in the flower beds. It features a little fountain in one corner, a built in barbecue and a shady floral pergola with a tiled dining table

There is concealed lighting amongst the flower beds which makes this a very romantic place to be on those long balmy summer evenings. Few experiences are more enjoyable than sitting in the pergola eating your charred barbecued chicken legs and spare ribs, sipping your glass of chilled Vinho Verde and listening to the tinkling of the fountain and the chirping of the crickets.

Pool
The entrance steps wind their way past a pretty flower bed and the fragrantly scented bell shaped flowers of a lovely Datura tree, up to the main terrace and pool. Another set of steps lead from here to the roof terrace from which there are magnificent panoramic views over nearly thirty miles of the coastline as far as Armacao de Pera to the west and beyond Faro to the east..
The view from the french windows of the Master Bedroom with the sea visible (heat haze permitting!) all along the horizon. The terrace extends round two sides of the living room, some of it shaded by the overhang of the roof terrace. The lower terrace is several metres wide and provides more than enough room for the eight sun loungers, two patio tables with sun umbrellas and their eight dining chairs (more if requested) provided. The pool can be heated on

Livingroom: The living room covers about 30 ft. by 40 ft. altogether and is fully carpeted except for the dining area. The furnishings include English antiques, marble tables, and original Victorian and modern watercolours and oil paintings. The patio doors lead directly onto the terrace and pool from whence there is a wonderful panoramic view across the central Algarve down to the sea
The dining area has a marble floor and features an attractive mirrored bar. The table normally seats eight but can be extended to accommodate twelve or more if necessary. Both it and the sideboard are graced with a silver triple candelabra and various other items of silverware

The kitchen has a breakfast alcove in one corner. Besides the cooker, which has a gas hob and electric oven, grill and spit, there are a microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, two refrigerators, filter coffee machine, toaster, and of course an electric kettle, steam iron, vacuum cleaners and so on. There is Vista Allegre bone china crockery plus glasses and cutlery for twelve people, and an extensive range of kitchen utensils, place mats, etc. The housekeeper's private pantry opens directly off the kitchen, and the inevitable barbecue is just outside.

The barbecue area is adjacent to both the kitchen and the garden, where there is a tiled table and seating in a pergola for al fresco dining, with lighting so it can be used at night. The detached study seen beyond the barbecue is not available to guests.

Bedrooms: The Master Bedroom has french windows opening out directly to the pool. The white lacquered Italian furniture includes a King sized double bed and the en-suite bathroom has double vanitory units. All the first floor bedrooms are fully carpeted.
The two beds in the Blue Bedroom (Bed 2 on the floor plan) share one 6 ft. wide headboard, so they can be used either as two singles or one double. The en suite bathroom, as are all the others, is fitted with a shower and bidet as well as the bath and toilet. There is also an additional guest bathroom

The first floor bedrooms all have fitted wardrobes with mirrored doors.
The Yellow Bedroom (Bed 3) has twin beds and is conveniently situated for parents in the Blue Bedroom to hear young children sleeping here calling if they wake in the night. There are lights all around the outside of the house, one of which is controlled from inside this room so can be used effectively as a night light.

The downstairs bedroom is decorated with Laura Ashley fabrics, has twin beds and a wooden parquet floor with rugs. It is amply big enough for a nanny to sleep here with a child in the other bed and another in a cot. It is very popular as a room for noisy teenagers who can play their ghetto blaster here with minimal effect on the peace of the grown-ups upstairs

The 5th bedroom is newly built and has a double bed, separate bathroom.
